This Privacy Policy describes how Alcohol Tracker (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information.
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
- Display name and username — used to identify you within the app and groups
Usage Data
When you use the App, we collect:
- Drink logs — drink type, container type, amount (ml), ABV percentage, optional notes, and timestamp
- Group data — group names you create or join, and your membership status
Locally Stored Data
The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Daily alcohol limit setting
- Notification preferences
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain the App’s functionality
- Authenticate your account
- Display your drink history and statistics
- Enable group features so members can view shared activity
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring users can only access their own data
- Secure authentication with encrypted password storage
Data Sharing
We do not:
- Sell your personal data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use third-party analytics or tracking services
- Collect device identifiers for advertising purposes
Your drink data is only visible to you and to members of groups you voluntarily join.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile information
- All drink logs
- All group memberships
This action is irreversible.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for use by anyone under the legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
